Because of measures taken to keep our region safe and healthy, one of our favorite annual activities has – marvellously – not been cancelled but simply postponed to a later date. This year foodies in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will get to enjoy Restaurant Week from September 15th to October 10th, 2020.
Restaurant Week is one of the most anticipated culinary events of the year, a tradition which began back in 2005 as a week-long festival celebrating Puerto Vallarta restaurants. But it was such a huge success that over the past decade and a half, it has grown to span across four weeks and includes restaurants from all over the Banderas Bay region.
This year, Restaurant Week will feature approximately 60 restaurants in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. The concept is to allow diners to experience a variety of restaurants in our region by offering specially priced three-course menus which reflect savings of up to 50% from regular prices. This year, participating restaurants will create three-course menus (generally allowing diners to select from one of three options in each appetizer, main course and dessert course) for a fixed price of $289, $399 or $466 pesos per person, with beverages and gratuities not included.
At Tropicasa Realty, our agents are excited that Vallarta Restaurant Week will carry on at a slightly later date, as this is one of the most delicious events on everyone’s annual calendar. It is also a wonderful opportunity to support our culinary community, with many restaurants having closed during the past two months and others working on a limited basis for take-out and delivery only. We will be looking forward to getting out and supporting these businesses and their staff – and eating some fantastic meals – early this fall. You can learn more about Vallarta Restaurant Week here.
